The client, a 175-year-old church, was looking to install a visual system, as well as reconfigure/updating of their audio system for their congregation. The challenges with the venue included an extremely uneven ceiling structure, outdated electrical systems, lighting fixtures requiring removal/relocation and the potential for asbestos.
The project included installation of a motorized projection screen, ceiling mounted projector, ceiling mounted choir reference monitor, as well as a mobile monitor for use in the church auxiliary space. The audio system required updating the mixing console, relocating existing PA system and reprogramming their existing AMP rack.
We planned the installation to require no cutting of the ceiling or walls, with the exception of power installation performed by a subcontractor. Screen was wall mounted with adjustable brackets to compensate for the uneven ceiling. All cabling was surface run using paintable cable track.
